YES! Property Managers are FINALLY getting RESPECT!

Property Managers are FINALLY getting RESPECT....While attending the recent VAR Property Management Coalition Conference a few weeks ago, seeing the HUGE number of attendees showed me that PROPERTY MANAGERS are FINALLY getting the RESPECT that they DESERVE.

Having gone through the real estate slow down of the 1970s, I saw the same thing happen then...real estate agents getting into PROPERTY MANAGEMENT and brokerage firms EMBRACING property management as a SPECIALTY under their brokerage services umbrella.

One local brokerage firm that had agent/property managers has signed on with a LARGE national franchise (that discourages property management) and their agent/property managers left to where their desk charges were not increasing.

Another local brokerage firm was funneling unsold listings to an agent/property manager and then would not invest in the necessary cost of property management software and allocate office space to the expanding endeavor....the property manager/agent (and his monthly INCOME) have now gone to another local real estate firm who I suspect will encourage his efforts to further service their clients AND expand his property management BRAND.

Many agents who have seen the GROWTH potential of property management will remain in the business as brokerage sales/listings increase and some will return to listing/sales.

In either event, PROPERTY MANAGERS have kept many homeowners from going into foreclosure; allowed many new residents to move to relocate their families for employment, education or health issues AND have educated many property owners on the JOYS of INVESTMENT PROPERTY OWNERSHIP.
